Pinewood profiles
All surfaces highly exposed to the weathering of each element will consist of a high percentage of heartwood. Heartwood is beneficial because it absorbs far less moisture than sapwood and undergoes a natural “self-proofing” process that makes it last longer.

To protect the wood against decomposition, an eco-friendly primer and surface treatment that fully comply with the current technical requirements of the Danish Association of Window Manufacturers.

Glazing beads are available as powder-coated aluminium or painted wooden glazing beads with countersunk nails.

Profiles of mahogany

Mahogany windows are made using Sipo wood and Sapeli, from Central Africa. The density and oil content of these uniform, high-quality wood is high, which is important for the wood’s stability and service life. It also eliminates the need for additional proofing of the wood.

Instead, the hardwood elements are given a lightly pigmented surface treatment to preserve the wood’s colour and texture and, at the same time, to protect against decomposition caused by weathering.

Bottom glazing beads are made of bronze-anodised aluminium. Side and top glazing beads are delivered with countersunk nails.

Profiles of wood and aluminium

Several benefits are gained by combining wood with aluminium. Inside, the windows and doors appear as conventional wooden solutions. Outside, the components also resemble wooden windows and doors but are furnished with aluminium profiles. They effectively protect the underlying wood, which has been primed and surface-treated like the other wooden elements. At the same time, they have the advantage of not having to be maintained, merely cleaned. The aluminium profiles have a powder-coated surface and are available in nine standard colours. Special colours are available for an additional charge.

Profiles of wood/aluminium energy

Profiles of wood/aluminium energy differ in one regard from ordinary wood/aluminium solutions: they have more wood in the hinged frame. This enables the windows to be classified in energy class A. In addition, this solution is available with special noise-reduction panes and panes with interior Venetian blinds. NB: The energy labelling scheme divides windows into energy classes A, B and C, in which windows classified as Energy A are the most energy-efficient. Our pinewood, mahogany and wood/aluminium energy lines meet the requirements for Energy Class A.
